UAE police reunite child of determination with parents in 2 hours

Date:

The 8-year-old was found wandering alone.

An eight-year-old Arab child of determination lost in Al Nuaimia area was safely returned to his parents, the Ajman Police have said.

Lt-Col Ghaith Khalifa Al Kaabi, chief of the Nuaimia police station, said the traffic patrols men noticed the young boy walking alone.

“They stopped and asked him where he was going and where his family was. When they failed to get any clue and realised he was a determined boy they took him to the police station. Officers were able to locate his father within two hours and requested him to come to collect his son.”

The father told the policemen that the boy got out when he found the apartment door open, said Lt-Col Kaabi. “The father was on duty while his mother was busy with housework and didn’t notice the boy slipping away.”

Ops urged the father to be more careful about kids. “Parents should take all precautionary measures and keep doors shut, especially during night time, to protect kids from being lost.”
