Ministry Enforces Regulatory Compliance Through Inspections and Action Against Violators.

Dubai: Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has cancelled the operating licences of 17 Sanad Service Centres after identifying violations of regulations governing their activities, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain compliance and service quality.
According to the ministry, the action followed routine inspection drives conducted to evaluate the centres’ operations and determine whether they were meeting the prescribed regulatory standards.
The breaches were identified under the rules governing Sanad Service Centres, introduced through Ministerial Decision No. 244/2022.
The ministry reiterated that all authorised centres are required to comply with established laws, operational procedures and regulatory guidelines. It also cautioned that failure to meet these requirements could lead to enforcement measures, including the cancellation of operating licences.
Sanad Service Centres operate as integrated service hubs throughout Oman, allowing residents and businesses to access more than 370 government-related electronic and administrative services.
These centres simplify various procedures involving government departments, municipal authorities and private organisations by bringing multiple services together under one roof.
The ministry explained that its regular inspection initiatives are intended to improve regulatory supervision, safeguard service standards and ensure that all centres function in line with approved requirements.
