NCM Forecasts Rain Amid Unstable Weather Conditions, With Temperatures Expected to Reach 42°C.

Dubai: Several parts of the UAE may receive rainfall today as convective clouds form over eastern regions and gradually extend towards some inland and western areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather authority expects generally clear to partly cloudy skies, with increasing cloud cover during the afternoon that could lead to scattered showers.
Light to moderate winds are forecast, occasionally strengthening during cloud development. These conditions may cause blowing dust and reduced visibility in open areas. Wind speeds are expected to range from 10 to 25km/h, with gusts reaching 40km/h in coastal locations and up to 45km/h across inland and mountainous areas.
Daytime temperatures could climb to between 37°C and 42°C in interior regions, while coastal areas and islands may record temperatures of 35°C to 40°C. Mountainous locations are expected to experience comparatively cooler conditions, with temperatures ranging from 28°C to 33°C.
Humidity levels are likely to increase during the night and early Friday morning, creating favourable conditions for fog or mist in certain coastal and inland locations.
Sea conditions are expected to be slight to occasionally moderate in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea will generally remain slight.
Unsettled Weather and Rainfall Possibilities Until Monday
According to the NCM’s five-day outlook, unstable weather patterns may continue until Monday, with afternoon cloud formation bringing the possibility of rainfall across different parts of the UAE.
On Friday, convective clouds are forecast to form over eastern regions during the afternoon, potentially producing showers. Increasing overnight humidity could also result in fog or mist early Saturday.
Saturday is expected to bring similar weather, including a possibility of afternoon rainfall. On Sunday, showers may affect northern and eastern parts of the country.
By Monday, the likelihood of rainfall is expected to shift towards eastern and southern areas, with skies remaining partly cloudy.
Wind gusts could reach speeds of 40km/h at times between Friday and Monday, potentially causing blowing dust and temporarily affecting visibility in exposed locations.
The NCM’s latest weather bulletin indicates that sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will generally remain slight from Friday through Monday.
