Heavy Traffic Causes Delays at Key Interchanges Across Dubai and Sharjah.

Motorists travelling across Dubai encountered significant traffic congestion on several major roads on Friday morning, with heavy delays reported along the Sharjah–Dubai route and near important interchanges throughout the city.
According to traffic maps, vehicles moving from Sharjah towards Dubai on Al Ittihad Road (E11) experienced substantial delays, particularly around Al Nahda and Sahara Centre, where congestion was most severe.
Traffic was also moving slowly along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311), especially near Sharjah’s industrial districts and Al Qusais. Additional congestion was reported on roads surrounding Madina Mall and Al Qusais Industrial Area.
Traffic Builds Up on Al Khail Road and Major Interchanges
Within Dubai, Al Khail Road (E44) experienced heavy traffic near Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), where a possible traffic incident was indicated on road maps.
The resulting congestion extended towards the interchange connecting Al Khail Road with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, close to City Centre Me’aisem.
Drivers travelling towards Abu Dhabi on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road also faced slow-moving traffic near Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT).
Delays Reported Around Barsha Heights and Hessa Street
Motorists passing through Barsha Heights were advised to anticipate additional travel time, particularly around the Hessa Street (D61) interchange near the American School of Dubai.
Slow traffic was also reported along the D86 corridor, adding to congestion in the surrounding areas.
Drivers using these busy routes may benefit from checking live traffic updates and considering alternative roads where practical to avoid extended delays.
Traffic Congestion Reported Across Central Dubai
Closer to central Dubai, motorists are experiencing traffic delays on several roads surrounding Dubai Frame, Karama and Al Mina Street.
Traffic maps also indicate possible incidents near Oud Metha and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), contributing to slower vehicle movement in nearby areas.
Other parts of the emirate, including Jumeirah and Abu Hail, are also witnessing reduced traffic speeds, with drivers likely to experience longer journey times.
Road Closures Reported in Deira, Al Mamzar and Sharjah
Several roads in Deira, Al Mamzar and areas surrounding the University of Sharjah appear to be affected by closures, according to traffic maps.
Motorists planning to travel through these locations are encouraged to verify road conditions and check for alternative routes before beginning their journeys.
Traffic Advisory for Motorists
Drivers travelling across Dubai and Sharjah are advised to plan their journeys carefully and allow additional time to reach their destinations.
Using navigation applications for real-time traffic information can help motorists identify congested roads, possible closures and alternative routes.
Residents should also follow official traffic announcements and instructions issued by Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to stay informed about road conditions and travel disruptions.
