Administrative action taken against Jazeera Airways after airline opened transit flights.

Dubai: Kuwait’s civil aviation authority has dismissed reports that transit operations at Kuwait International Airport have resumed, confirming that the suspension will remain in place until further notice.
Abdullah Al Rajhi, spokesperson for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, said the authority had not coordinated with Jazeera Airways or any other carrier regarding the resumption of transit services, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
He said administrative measures were taken against Jazeera Airways after the airline opened transit flights and announced the resumption of the service without first obtaining approval from the aviation authority.
Al Rajhi stressed that the decisions and directives suspending transit operations have remained in effect since attacks began in the region.
He explained that the restrictions were introduced to maintain the highest levels of security and safety for passengers, aircraft and airports amid ongoing regional developments and security conditions.
According to Al Rajhi, the measures against Jazeera Airways were taken in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures after the carrier breached the authority’s decisions, instructions and controls governing transit operations.
The aviation authority added that any decision to lift the suspension and resume transit services will be announced officially through its approved channels.
