UAE Weather: Cooler Days Expected as Fog Chances Increase

Temperatures are expected to dip slightly on Saturday, with mist possible in some coastal areas.

Abu Dhabi: Temperatures across the UAE are forecast to dip slightly on Saturday, though daytime highs could still hover around 40°C in several parts of the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The weather is expected to remain generally fair, with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions developing at times over eastern and southern areas.

Humidity levels are likely to rise overnight and into Sunday morning, particularly in some coastal areas, increasing the possibility of mist formation.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10 to 20km/h, with gusts reaching up to 30km/h.

Sea conditions are forecast to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 40°C in Abu Dhabi, while Dubai and Sharjah could reach 39°C. Al Sila is likely to record the highest temperature at 41°C, while Fujairah will be relatively cooler, with a maximum of 35°C.

Humidity levels could climb to 85 per cent in Fujairah, Al Ruwais and Dalma, while Abu Dhabi may experience humidity of up to 80 per cent.

Fog chances rise on Sunday

Sunday is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy. Humidity will increase overnight and into Monday morning, raising the likelihood of fog or mist developing in some areas.

Fog or mist may develop across some coastal and inland areas during the morning.

Winds are forecast to remain light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly and reaching speeds of up to 30km/h.

Sea conditions will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea could see slight to moderate conditions.

Similar weather expected on Monday and Tuesday

Monday is forecast to remain fair to partly cloudy, with humidity increasing again overnight.

By Tuesday morning, fog or mist could once again form over some coastal and inland areas.

Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at light to moderate speeds, reaching up to 30km/h, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight.

Similar conditions are forecast to continue through Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies expected, particularly across eastern and northern parts of the country.

Humidity will increase again overnight and into Wednesday morning, bringing another possibility of fog or mist developing across some coastal and inland areas.
