Sheikh Sultan’s Academic Journey Includes Arkansas State University and University of Detroit Mercy.
Sharjah: Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management Studies from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
The doctorate represents the latest milestone in Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed’s academic journey, which has also included studies in business administration and computer information systems at universities in the United States.
The University of Exeter, where Sheikh Sultan completed his doctoral studies, is a prominent UK institution with a broad range of academic programmes and specialised fields. The university has also contributed to research and scholarship across numerous disciplines.
Among the University of Exeter’s distinguished alumni is His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in History with distinction in 1985.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed’s academic journey reflects his longstanding commitment to education and the pursuit of knowledge through programmes at universities, higher education institutions and research centres.
He previously obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas State University in the United States.
He later earned a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan.
His newly awarded PhD in Management Studies from the University of Exeter further expands his academic credentials and marks another milestone in a journey characterised by continued learning and engagement with higher education.
