The Dubai station, officially named Al Yalayis Station, is set to open on September 30, 2026, as previously announced.
Bookings are now open for passengers looking to travel on Etihad Rail from its Dubai station. Passengers can reserve their tickets through the Etihad Rail website or mobile app.
Fares from Dubai to Abu Dhabi start at Dh39 per person in Comfort Class, while Premium Class tickets start at Dh109.
The first Dubai-Abu Dhabi train will depart at 6:15am, with four additional services available throughout the day. The journey is expected to take around one hour and four minutes.
Passengers travelling from Dubai to Fujairah currently have one service to choose from, with the journey taking approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
Passengers can choose between Comfort Class and Premium Class. Comfort Class includes complimentary Wi-Fi, power sockets at every seat and access to a food and beverage trolley service. Premium Class offers wider reclining seats, additional legroom, complimentary refreshments and snacks, as well as a quieter cabin environment.
Travellers can choose from Saver, Value and Flex ticket options. Saver tickets come with automatically assigned seats, cannot be changed and are non-refundable.
The Dubai station, officially named Al Yalayis Station, is scheduled to open on September 30, 2026, alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah, as previously announced. Located in Jumeirah Golf Estates near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), the station will serve communities including Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai South.
A second Etihad Rail station is planned for Meydan and is expected to connect with the upcoming Dubai Metro Gold Line, which is scheduled for completion in 2032.

The Dubai station will also have a planned connection to the Dubai Metro. A dedicated pedestrian bridge is being built to link Al Yalayis Station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, allowing passengers to transfer between the national rail network and Dubai’s urban transport system.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had earlier confirmed that the Nol card system is ready to be integrated with Etihad Rail. This will allow passengers to use their Nol cards across the Dubai Metro, buses, taxis and rail services.
Etihad Rail launched its first passenger service on June 30, 2026. The inaugural train departed from Fujairah Station at 5.34am and arrived at Mohamed bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi at 7.19am. Covering around 250 kilometres, the journey took approximately one hour and 45 minutes, with the train reaching Abu Dhabi ahead of schedule.
Etihad Rail said more than 10,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the first day of passenger operations, with six services scheduled to run on the inaugural day.
