Yas Waterworld to host Dionela for a Filipino music, food and waterpark celebration.
If you’re looking for a night out that offers more than just a concert, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi has a tempting option this weekend.
The waterpark’s Kabayan Night returns on September 27, bringing Filipino music, food and entertainment to Yas Island, with chart-topping Filipino singer-songwriter Dionela headlining the evening.
The event runs from 4:30pm to 10pm, giving guests time to enjoy the waterpark before settling in for an evening of music and entertainment.
Dionela takes the stage
Filipino singer-songwriter Dionela, one of the Philippines’ prominent contemporary artists, will perform live as part of the celebrations, giving fans the opportunity to see him perform at Yas Waterworld.
But this is more than a concert night.
Guests can expect live singers and DJs, a parade featuring street dancers, roaming performers and themed photo spots, alongside a selection of Filipino food, including authentic street-food favourites.
Come for the music, stay for the water slides
One of the main attractions of Kabayan Night is its setting inside Yas Waterworld, allowing guests to spend part of the evening enjoying the park’s rides and slides before the entertainment gets into full swing.
There are more than 70 rides, slides and attractions to choose from, including the park’s newer Lost City experiences.
For thrill-seekers, Matamir’s Drop, billed as the UAE’s tallest waterslide, offers a dramatic ride, while Sahel Matamir promises a zero-gravity-style experience.
If high-speed slides aren’t your idea of a relaxing Sunday, the new Sarab pool area offers a quieter spot to cool off, unwind and lounge.
