Dubai: The UAE is expected to experience rain, strong winds, blowing dust and rough seas on Thursday, with unsettled weather conditions likely to continue into the weekend before temperatures begin to rise, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds developing over eastern and southern areas in the afternoon, bringing a chance of rainfall. Winds may reach speeds of up to 50 km/h in inland areas, potentially causing blowing dust and sand.
Temperatures could climb to 46°C in inland areas and 42°C along the coast and on the islands. Humidity is expected to rise overnight, with fog or mist possible in some coastal areas on Friday morning. Seas will be rough at first before gradually easing to moderate and then slight conditions.
Friday will remain fair to partly cloudy, with another chance of afternoon rain over eastern and southern areas. Winds may reach 40 km/h, potentially causing blowing dust, while mist could form over some coastal and inland areas early on Saturday.
Saturday is expected to bring another chance of afternoon rain over eastern areas, accompanied by a rise in temperatures. Humid conditions will persist overnight, with mist possible over some coastal areas on Sunday morning.
Sunday and Monday are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with clouds developing over eastern areas and potentially becoming convective in the afternoon. Winds may reach 35 km/h on both days, while seas are expected to remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
