Ambulance Teams to Boost Coverage Around Schools During Morning and Afternoon Peak Hours.
Dubai has increased ambulance readiness across the emirate ahead of the 2026–27 academic year, activating 150 ambulance points and boosting coverage around schools during peak morning and afternoon periods.
The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services said the preparedness plan aims to safeguard students, school staff and road users as traffic increases around schools during drop-off and pick-up times.
The plan includes readiness checks for field teams, the deployment of additional ambulance units and expanded coverage around schools, particularly during the morning rush and dismissal periods, to help ensure faster emergency response times.
Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, said the start of the academic year requires heightened preparedness and close co-ordination due to changing traffic patterns and increased congestion around schools during peak hours.
He said 150 ambulance points would be activated across Dubai, staffed by specialised emergency medical personnel and equipped with vehicles and medical equipment designed to handle a wide range of emergencies.
The additional deployment is part of a wider effort to ensure rapid access to emergency medical care during one of Dubai’s busiest periods on the roads, as hundreds of thousands of students, parents, school buses and staff return to their daily routines.
