Date:

‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ event in Dubai to showcase Palestinian culture, heritage and cuisine.

More than 20,000 people are expected to attend Dubai’s first-ever cultural event celebrating Palestinian heritage, traditions and community life in the UAE on Saturday, August 29.

The ‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ event will take place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

Organisers said the event will bring together members of the Palestinian community and residents from across the UAE for a programme featuring cultural performances, heritage showcases, traditional cuisine and community activities.

Palestinian culture and heritage take centre stage

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of Palestinian culture through traditional songs, music, folk arts, comedy performances, handicrafts and heritage showcases.

The programme will feature a dedicated area for traditional Palestinian cuisine, allowing visitors to sample dishes representing different aspects of Palestinian culture. The event will also highlight homegrown businesses, projects and initiatives led by members of the Palestinian community.

Several Palestinian artists and community figures are expected to participate, offering visitors a broader insight into the community’s culture, traditions and creative heritage.

As the first edition of ‘Emirates Loves Palestine’, the event aims to celebrate Palestinians living in the UAE while strengthening the social and cultural connections between Emiratis and Palestinians.

Part of wider ‘Emirates Loves’ series

The event is being organised by the ‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ page in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and the Palestinian Business Council – Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Organisers said the event will provide a community-focused setting that reflects the UAE’s values of tolerance, coexistence and cultural diversity.

‘Emirates Loves Palestine’ is part of the wider ‘Emirates Loves’ series, which celebrates communities living in the UAE by showcasing their cultures, heritage and contributions to society.

The inaugural Palestine-themed edition will bring together cultural, artistic and community activities under one roof, offering residents an opportunity to discover more about Palestinian traditions and heritage.
