Air Arabia expands Germany network with daily Sharjah-Düsseldorf service

Date:

Air Arabia to launch daily Sharjah-Düsseldorf flights from December 16.

Sharjah: Air Arabia is adding Düsseldorf as its third German destination from the UAE, with daily non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Düsseldorf starting December 16, 2026.

The new service will give UAE travellers another direct option for reaching Germany and will be operated using the airline’s Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Düsseldorf will join Munich and Frankfurt as Air Arabia’s German destinations from Sharjah, further expanding the carrier’s European network.

Third Germany route

Düsseldorf will become Air Arabia’s third German destination from Sharjah, joining Munich and Frankfurt and further expanding the airline’s direct connectivity between the UAE and Germany.

The new route further strengthens the budget airline’s European network, which already covers cities including Milan Bergamo, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, Rome, Katowice and Gdansk.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali said the Düsseldorf service represents another important step in the carrier’s ongoing expansion across Europe.

“The launch of our new daily service to Düsseldorf marks another important milestone in the expansion of our European network and further strengthens connectivity between the UAE and Germany,” he said.

More choice

Al Ali said the addition of Düsseldorf means Air Arabia will now offer three non-stop routes from Sharjah to Germany, giving passengers more options for travelling between the UAE and the European country.

“With three destinations now served non-stop from Sharjah, we continue to enhance connectivity between the UAE and Germany while offering our customers greater choice, convenience, and affordable travel,” he said.

He added that the airline would remain focused on expanding its network while providing reliable and value-focused travel options.

For UAE-based travellers, the new service provides another non-stop option to Germany, while Air Arabia’s wider network can also offer connections to destinations beyond the UAE, the airline said.

Airport welcomes new route

Düsseldorf Airport CEO Lars Redeligx said the new service would further strengthen connections between the German city and the Gulf region.

“We are very pleased to welcome Air Arabia to Düsseldorf,” Redeligx said.

He added that links with the Middle East and Gulf have long been an important part of the airport’s international network, saying the new daily Sharjah service would further strengthen those connections.

Redeligx also highlighted the potential appeal of the new route beyond Düsseldorf, noting that travellers from North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring parts of the Netherlands could use the service to connect with Air Arabia’s wider network.

“Travellers from North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring regions in the Netherlands will also benefit from Air Arabia’s extensive network across the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia,” he said.

The new route will be operated using an Airbus A320neo, which features a modern cabin and offers improved fuel efficiency and operational performance, according to Air Arabia.

The airline operates an all-Airbus fleet, including A320 and A321 aircraft.

The Düsseldorf launch adds another major European destination to Air Arabia’s Sharjah network as the airline continues to expand its international footprint.

From Sharjah, the carrier’s European network will include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, Rome, Frankfurt, Katowice, Gdansk and Düsseldorf.

The daily Sharjah-Düsseldorf service is scheduled to begin on December 16, 2026, giving UAE travellers another direct link to Germany.
