Zenn Ariane Garceles admitted she initially struggled to grasp the magnitude of her win after discovering that her ticket had secured the Dh5 million prize.

A 38-year-old Filipina living in Dubai has become the latest winner of The UAE Lottery, taking home Dh5 million. She is only the third player in the lottery’s history to claim the second prize.
Zenn Ariane Garceles said she initially struggled to comprehend the magnitude of her win when she realised that her ticket had secured the Dh5 million prize.
“I was so overwhelmed at first that I couldn’t believe it. I even had to ask my husband to count the zeros,” Garceles said.
The results were announced on Wednesday evening, with Garceles being named the winner on Thursday. According to the operator, she is the third player to win the Dh5 million second prize.
Garceles, a Philippine national living in Dubai, now joins a select group of players who have won the same Dh5 million prize.
Before Garceles’ win, the lottery had awarded two Dh30 million grand prizes just five weeks apart. Her Dh5 million win brings the total value of the three major prizes to Dh65 million in approximately three months.
The UAE Lottery said its Lucky Day game has distributed more than Dh280 million in prizes since its launch.
A spokesperson for The UAE Lottery said Garceles’ win marks another major prize in a remarkable winning streak.
“It’s extraordinary to see another Dh5 million winner emerge after such an incredible run of major prizes. We are delighted to celebrate Zenn Ariane’s win and welcome her to the group of big winners from The UAE Lottery,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that every winner has a unique story and that the lottery looks forward to seeing how the prize changes Garceles’ life.
The Dh5 million prize could allow Garceles to pursue her personal goals, support her family or secure her financial future. However, she has not yet disclosed how she plans to spend the money.
The UAE Lottery is operated by The Game LLC and regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), the UAE federal authority responsible for overseeing commercial gaming activities.
