EaseMyTrip introduces fare-drop tracker, refunds savings after booking

ReSave tracks eligible bookings and lets customers benefit when fares drop.

Online travel-tech platform EaseMyTrip has launched ReSave, a free flight add-on that tracks eligible bookings for fare reductions after purchase and returns the full applicable savings to customers, according to a company statement.

The new offering expands EaseMyTrip’s technology-led services beyond the booking stage. Under the programme, eligible flight itineraries are monitored for subsequent price drops, allowing customers to benefit from qualifying fare reductions, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

“The initiative is part of EaseMyTrip’s broader technology strategy to create value throughout the entire travel journey,” the company said.

Airfares can fluctuate even after a booking is confirmed, meaning travellers may miss out when the same itinerary later becomes available at a lower price. ReSave addresses this by monitoring eligible bookings for fare reductions and allowing customers to benefit from subsequent savings, subject to the applicable terms.

Traditional fare-monitoring tools require customers to track prices independently after booking. ReSave, by contrast, is integrated into the booking journey, allowing eligible itineraries to be monitored automatically.

The company said the feature is available to EaseMyTrip customers as a zero-cost add-on, with 100 per cent of eligible savings returned to the customer. Where a qualifying fare reduction is identified under the applicable terms, the entire net saving calculated through the ReSave process is returned without additional charges.

Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, said travel technology is increasingly moving beyond helping customers search and book more efficiently to creating value throughout the entire travel journey.

“ReSave is built around this principle of extending our price proposition beyond the point of purchase and giving customers an opportunity to benefit when eligible fares decline subsequently,” he said.

He added that the initiative reflects a broader industry shift from transaction-focused technology towards services that remain relevant throughout the customer journey.

“Our objective is to make pricing more transparent, the booking experience more reassuring and the value delivered to customers more enduring,” Pittie said.

Separately, EaseMyTrip is enhancing its Agentic AI capabilities, with a focus on making travel more intelligent, proactive and personalised by anticipating customer needs and supporting travellers.

“With ReSave, EaseMyTrip continues to expand its technology proposition beyond the initial booking transaction, strengthening its focus on price transparency, customer value and technology-led engagement throughout the travel journey,” the company said.
