NCM forecasts rain, gusty winds and blowing dust in parts of the UAE until Tuesday.
Sharjah: Rain fell over the Al Madam area in Sharjahâs Central Region on Saturday as unstable weather continued across parts of the UAE. Forecasters expect further showers in the coming days.
The rain followed moderate to heavy showers reported in several parts of the country on Friday, including Al Khair and areas along the Abu DhabiâAl Dhafra Road, where dense sandstorms also caused reduced visibility.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the unsettled weather is expected to continue through Tuesday, with the UAE remaining under the influence of an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the east, accompanied by a weak upper-air low.
Saturdayâs forecast is for partly cloudy and occasionally dusty conditions, with convective clouds expected to develop over eastern and southern areas and extend into some inland regions, bringing a chance of rain.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate, becoming fresh to strong at times with cloud activity. They may also stir up dust and sand, reaching speeds of 10 to 25km/h, with gusts of up to 50km/h.
The NCM said similar weather conditions are expected to continue over the next three days, with showers likely across eastern and southern parts of the country, extending into some inland areas.
Seas are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Motorists have also been urged to exercise caution during periods of reduced visibility caused by dust and rainfall.
