Traffic diversion at Mleiha Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road will be in place from 6am to midnight.

Sharjah: Sharjahâs Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced a temporary traffic diversion on Sunday, August 9, as part of ongoing upgrade works at the intersection of Mleiha Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road.
The diversion will be in place from 6am to midnight to facilitate infrastructure works and improve traffic flow in the area, the authority said.
Motorists have been advised to drive with caution, follow traffic directions and temporary road signs, and use designated alternative routes to reach their destinations safely and smoothly during the works.
The authority said the traffic map marks the construction zone in red and the alternative route in green, helping motorists avoid the work area and navigate the diversion with ease.
The temporary diversion is part of a wider project to upgrade the Mleiha RoadâSheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road intersection. The project aims to improve the efficiency of Sharjahâs road network, enhance traffic flow and complete infrastructure works in line with road safety standards.
SRTA also urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance, use alternative routes where possible and follow traffic guidance throughout the diversion period to help ensure road safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
