Sharjah-Dubai commute faces major delays during peak-hour traffic

Heavy congestion is affecting E11, E311 and key roads across Al Nahda, Al Qusais and Deira.

Tuesday morning commuters heading from Sharjah to Dubai are experiencing heavy congestion, with significant delays reported on key routes including Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), Al Ittihad Street (E11), and major corridors through Al Qusais and Deira.

Heavy traffic has been reported along Al Ittihad Street (E11) near the Sharjah-Dubai border, with congestion particularly affecting areas around Al Nahda, Sahara Centre and Al Mamzar as vehicles move slowly towards Dubai.

Motorists travelling through Al Mamzar and along E11 are facing delays, while traffic is also building up towards Abu Hail, Century Mall and Deira.

Traffic slows near Sharjah Industrial Areas

Heavy congestion has been reported on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) around Muwaileh Commercial and Sharjah Industrial Area 15, with delays particularly affecting the area near the City Centre Al Zahia interchange.

Sharjah Industrial Areas see bumper-to-bumper traffic

Commuters across Sharjah are facing heavy congestion, with slow-moving traffic reported along several key routes, including:

  • Sharjah Industrial Areas 13 to 17
  • Industrial Area 11 and Industrial Area 15
  • Hay Al Qasimiah
  • Sharjah Ring Road (S102)

Al Qusais and Al Nahda routes affected

On the Dubai side, roads around Al Qusais and Al Nahda are experiencing significant congestion, with delays reported on:

  • Baghdad Street in Al Qusais
  • Beirut Street (D62)
  • D97 in Al Qusais
  • Al Twar 1
  • Al Qusais Industrial Areas

Additional delays have been reported along Damascus Street, Halab Street and key connecting routes between Dubai and Sharjah’s industrial districts.

Sharjah Industrial Areas face heavy congestion

Within Sharjah, commuters are experiencing slow-moving traffic on several major roads and surrounding industrial routes.

Additional Sharjah routes affected

Traffic delays are also reported on:

  • Al Sewak Street in Sharjah Industrial Area 8
  • 6th Street in Sharjah Industrial Area 7
  • Sharjah Industrial Areas 11 to 15 along S102 (Sharjah Ring Road)

Deira and airport routes experience slowdowns

Dubai motorists are facing delays around several busy areas, including:

  • Al Murar, Deira
  • Hor Al Anz East
  • D97 corridors
  • Al Twar and roads surrounding the airport

Slow-moving traffic has also been reported near D64 close to Al Nasiriya Building, Al Qusais Industrial Area First and D56 in Muhaisnah.

Minor accidents add to congestion

Several minor accidents have been reported on some routes, contributing to increased morning traffic. Motorists are advised to drive carefully, maintain safe distances and allow additional time for their journeys.

Dubai Police issue road safety reminder

With temperatures continuing to rise across the UAE, Dubai Police has reminded motorists to take precautions in case of vehicle overheating.

In a road safety advisory shared on X, Dubai Police said: “If your car overheats, stop in a safe location and allow the vehicle to cool down to prevent damage to the engine.”

Motorists were advised to follow safety precautions and avoid driving further if their vehicle shows signs of overheating.
