UAE Foreign Ministry warns inaction over West Bank violence may worsen tensions.
The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against villages in the occupied West Bank, including the recent arson attack on a mosque in Tulkarm. The UAE described the incident as a provocative act, an incitement against Muslims, and a form of extremism.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) warned of the continued escalation of settler violence and called on the Israeli government to take full responsibility, denounce such actions, and ensure those responsible are held accountable.
The UAE said failure to take action would be viewed as tacit approval of these practices, potentially worsening cycles of hatred, racism, and instability.
The Ministry urged the international community to uphold its responsibilities by working to end ongoing Israeli violations and prevent further escalation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and across the wider region.
It also emphasised the importance of supporting regional and international efforts aimed at advancing the Middle East peace process, achieving a comprehensive and just peace, and ending unlawful practices that threaten the prospects of a two-state solution.
