Dubai: Fans looking forward to the “SB Girls: Get Get Aw” tour in the UAE will have to adjust their plans, as organisers have revised the concert schedule.
Instead of two separate reunion shows, event producers ProXperts and Luxurist CBM House Events have confirmed that the celebration will now take place as a single performance at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena on August 8. However, fans waiting for news about the Dubai show will receive an update during the Abu Dhabi concert itself.
Speaking to Gulf News, ProXperts clarified that the Dubai event has not been cancelled, with further details set to be announced directly by the SB Girls.
“Details of the Dubai leg of the tour will be announced by the SB Girls themselves during their concert in Abu Dhabi,” ProXperts said.
Why the plans were changed
According to the organisers, the decision was made to unite fans from across the UAE for a single, larger celebration under one roof.
The organisers explained that the change was aimed at creating a larger and more memorable experience for fans across the UAE by bringing everyone together for one major celebration at Etihad Arena.
“To deliver an even bigger and more unforgettable experience for fans across the UAE, the producers have decided to combine the celebration into one spectacular show at Etihad Arena. Fans from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and across the country will now come together for one grand-scale concert featuring the legendary SB Girls,” the statement said.
The organisers also recognised that many fans had been eagerly anticipating the Dubai performance and confirmed that ticket holders had been contacted directly.
“Personalised email notifications have been sent to all ticket holders outlining the event update, ticket arrangements and details of the enhanced concert experience,” they added.
What happens to Dubai ticket holders?
The Dubai leg was originally scheduled for August 9 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Fans who have already purchased tickets will not lose their access and will receive further information regarding the updated arrangements.
Instead of transferring to a separate Dubai event, all existing Dubai show ticket holders will receive complimentary seating upgrades for the Abu Dhabi concert as a token of appreciation for their continued support.
VIP ticket holders will also enjoy an enhanced experience, including an exclusive meet-and-greet opportunity with the SB Girls following the performance.
Community celebration
Organisers have described the event as more than just a concert, presenting it as a celebration of the community that has supported the iconic Filipino girl group throughout the years.
“This is more than a concert — it is a celebration of Filipino music, cherished memories, and the fans who made this moment possible,” the producers said.
For now, the spotlight is on Abu Dhabi on August 8. By the end of the night, fans are expected to take home not only memories of the performance but also details about what lies ahead for the group’s Dubai leg.
