SEWA highlights that quicker approvals will support investment growth and the progress of infrastructure developments.

Sharjah: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has cut the processing time for issuing no-objection certificates (NOCs) from three working days to just two hours, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts to enhance government services and provide a more efficient customer experience.
Abdulrahim Al Zarouni, Director of the Shared Services Department at SEWA, said the initiative supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to streamline procedures and encourage business growth and development projects across the emirate.
He added that SEWA has implemented advanced digital solutions and an integrated electronic platform that allows applications to be processed instantly, with automated data verification helping to speed up approvals for infrastructure and development projects.
Al Zarouni said the upgrade is not only focused on reducing processing times but also on strengthening Sharjah’s investment appeal, with no-objection certificates serving as a vital requirement for infrastructure projects and development initiatives.
He added that applicants can now submit requests 24/7 through SEWA’s website and smart application, while real-time tracking of application status enhances transparency, convenience, and overall service efficiency.
