UAE heat peaks in Liwa as temperatures forecast to hit the country’s highest level on Thursday.
Abu Dhabi: The UAE is expected to experience stable summer conditions through the weekend, with generally clear skies, light winds, and calm seas forecast across the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Low clouds may appear over eastern regions during the morning, while northwesterly winds are expected to gradually turn southeasterly later in the day. Winds will remain mostly light to moderate, with no major weather changes anticipated.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain high, reaching the mid-40s in inland areas. Liwa is forecast to record the UAE’s highest temperature on Thursday at 46°C, while Al Ain is expected to reach 45°C.
Coastal areas will experience slightly lower temperatures, with maximums forecast to reach 42°C in Abu Dhabi, 40°C in Dubai, and 42°C in Sharjah.
Winds are expected to range between 10 and 20kph, occasionally reaching up to 30kph. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain slight.
The stable weather pattern is expected to continue on Friday, with minimal changes in temperatures and cloud conditions.
Light to moderate northwesterly winds will shift to southeasterly winds later in the day, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Weather conditions are forecast to become slightly breezier over the weekend, especially on Saturday and Sunday, with winds occasionally strengthening to between 10 and 25kph and gusts reaching up to 35kph.
Despite the increase in wind speeds, conditions will remain generally fair, with morning low clouds likely over eastern areas and sea conditions ranging from slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf by Sunday.
