Travellers urged to verify flight updates and reach airports early amid summer delays.

Passengers travelling from the UAE are advised to confirm their flight status before arriving at the airport, as several services to Kuwait and Bahrain have been cancelled or disrupted amid the ongoing regional situation.
With the summer travel peak expected to bring higher passenger volumes, airlines are urging travellers departing from Dubai to reach the airport at least three hours before departure to allow sufficient time for security checks, immigration procedures and boarding.
Passengers departing from Dubai International Airport can also use the Dubai Metro as a convenient option to reach Emirates Terminal 3.
Dubai Metro timings
Passengers travelling to Emirates Terminal 3 can use the Dubai Metro during the following operating hours:
- Monday to Thursday and Saturday: 5am to midnight
- Friday: 5am to 1am
- Sunday: 8am to midnight

Etihad flights cancelled

Etihad Airways has cancelled flights between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport and Kuwait International Airport, as well as between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain International Airport, citing operational reasons.
Abu Dhabi (AUH) – Kuwait (KWI) flights affected
Etihad Airways flights EY653 and EY654 have been cancelled until July 24, 2026.
Abu Dhabi (AUH) – Bahrain (BAH) flights affected
Flights EY647 and EY648, scheduled for July 23, 2026, have also been cancelled.
Etihad said its teams are supporting affected passengers by arranging alternative travel options. Travellers are advised to ensure their contact details are updated to receive flight alerts and notifications through SMS or email.
Flydubai flights affected
Flydubai has cancelled several flights between Dubai and Bahrain on July 22.
