Delhi to become Emirates’ third A380 destination in India from October 25.

Dubai: Emirates will introduce its flagship Airbus A380 on flights between Dubai and Delhi from October 25, offering passengers more premium seating options and Premium Economy availability across all daily services on the route.
Delhi will become Emirates’ third A380 destination in India, following Mumbai and Bengaluru, further expanding the double-decker aircraft’s presence in one of the airline’s key Asian markets.
The four-class A380 will operate flights EK512 and EK513, while other daily services will continue to be operated by retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Premium Economy cabins.
Passengers flying between Dubai and Delhi will also have the option to book Premium Economy seats on flights EK511, EK513, EK515 and EK517.
Where else does the Emirates A380 fly in Asia?
With Delhi joining the network, Emirates’ Asian A380 destinations now include Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Tokyo Narita, Osaka, Taipei and Bali.
Bangkok is one of the busiest A380 destinations in the region, with the aircraft operating on multiple daily services. Emirates also deploys the double-decker aircraft on routes to Singapore and Hong Kong, while most other Asian A380 destinations receive daily flights.
Aircraft assignments and flight frequencies may vary depending on seasonal schedules and operational requirements.
What passengers can expect
Emirates’ A380 can accommodate between 484 and 615 passengers, depending on the aircraft’s cabin layout.
The four-class A380 operating to Delhi will feature First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins.
Premium Economy offers cream leather seats, extra legroom, greater recline and meals served on chinaware. First Class travellers can enjoy private suites and onboard Shower Spas, while Business Class passengers have access to fully flat-bed seats.
The aircraft has a range of up to 15,000km and can cruise at an altitude of 43,100 feet. Measuring 72.7 metres in length, the A380 weighs between 510 and 575 tonnes and is made up of around four million parts.
Premium Economy reaches six Indian cities
The Delhi launch is part of a broader expansion of Emirates’ Premium Economy offering across its India network.
By the end of October, Premium Economy will be available on flights serving six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi.
Passengers will be able to book the cabin on four daily flights from Delhi, 22 weekly services from Mumbai, nine from Ahmedabad, seven from Bengaluru, 12 from Kolkata and two from Kochi.
Kolkata will also welcome Emirates’ next-generation A350 aircraft from October 25, with the new aircraft replacing Boeing 777s on daily flights EK570 and EK571.
Alongside the five-times-weekly EK572 and EK573 services operated by retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, the change will make Premium Economy available on all 12 weekly flights between Dubai and Kolkata.
Emirates currently operates services to nine Indian cities, offering 167 weekly flights to Dubai with onward connections to nearly 140 destinations worldwide.
