Dubai Palm Monorail resumes operations after a six-month closure.

Date:

The 5.5km service has resumed operations, with trains now running every 15 minutes.

Dubai: The Palm Monorail has resumed operations following a six-month maintenance shutdown, restoring a vital public transport link across Palm Jumeirah.

The operator announced the reopening on social media, stating: “We’re back on track. The Palm Monorail is open! Hop on and enjoy the ride across Palm Jumeirah.”

Services were suspended in January for planned station maintenance, with residents and visitors encouraged to use taxis and alternative transport options during the closure.

Nine-minute journey across Palm Jumeirah

The elevated 5.5km route connects Gateway Station at the entrance of Palm Jumeirah with Atlantis Aquaventure, offering passengers a nine-minute journey across the iconic island.

The line also serves key locations including Golden Mile Galleria, Al Ittihad Park and Palm Jumeirah Mall, providing convenient access to some of the island’s major hotels, attractions and residential communities.

A complete journey takes approximately nine minutes, with travel between each station taking around three minutes.

Fares start from Dh10

A single journey is priced at Dh10 per person, while a return ticket costs Dh15, according to the operator’s website. Passengers can also choose from family passes and unlimited travel options.

Tickets are available for purchase online or through the monorail’s official booking channels.

The first train departs from Gateway Station at 9am, while the final service leaves at 9.45pm.

From Atlantis Aquaventure, services begin at 9.15am, with the last train departing at 10pm. Trains run every 15 minutes throughout the week.
