Sheikha Latifa applauds the UAE youth orchestra’s historic performances in Vienna.

National Youth Orchestra Dubai becomes the first Emirati orchestra to perform at some of the world’s most prestigious concert venues.

Following their historic achievement as the first Emirati orchestras to perform at several of the world’s leading concert venues during their Vienna tour, the National Youth Orchestra Dubai and its Strings Camerata Orchestra have received praise from Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In a post shared on Wednesday, July 8, Sheikha Latifa expressed her pride in the orchestras’ accomplishment, describing the performances as another significant milestone in their journey of international success.

“We are proud of the achievements of the National Youth Orchestra Dubai and its Strings Camerata Orchestra during their Vienna tour, where they became the first Emirati orchestras to perform at several of the world’s leading concert venues. With support from Dubai Culture through its Dubai Cultural Grant programme, they continue the journey of global excellence that began with their New York debut last year,” she wrote.

The Vienna performances mark another significant step in the orchestra’s international journey, following its debut in New York last year and further enhancing the UAE’s growing influence in the global classical music scene.

Sheikha Latifa also emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent, noting that the achievement demonstrates the value of investing in future generations.

“These accomplishments reaffirm that investing in youth creates limitless possibilities and strengthen our commitment in Dubai to fostering creativity and empowering talent,” she added.

The Vienna tour was supported by Dubai Culture through its Dubai Cultural Grant programme, which aims to empower creatives and promote Dubai’s cultural sector both locally and internationally.
