Airlines revise operations as ongoing flight disruptions hit Middle East region.

Air travel across the Middle East continues to see operational adjustments as airlines closely monitor regional security conditions and modify flight schedules when required. Although several countries have reopened their airspace and many routes have resumed, airlines are still issuing regular travel advisories and operational updates to help passengers plan their journeys.
British Airways has confirmed that ongoing uncertainty and airspace restrictions continue to impact a number of its Middle East services. According to its latest travel update, flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh have been cancelled or temporarily suspended. To support affected customers, the airline has extended flexible rebooking options and is offering full refunds for eligible bookings through 31 October 2026.
Qatar Airways has also updated its official Travel Alerts page with changes affecting parts of its network. The airline recently resumed services to Kuwait International Airport from 21 June 2026, operating from Terminal 4. However, it has advised that pets and service animals are temporarily not permitted on these flights until further notice. The airline also reminds passengers that flight schedules may change due to operational, regulatory, safety, and other external factors beyond its control, and recommends that customers avoid traveling to the airport without a confirmed booking.
Other international airlines are similarly continuing to monitor the regional situation and publish updates through their official advisory channels. Depending on the carrier and destination, passengers may experience temporary schedule adjustments, revised departure or arrival times, flexible rebooking arrangements, or route-specific advisories as conditions evolve.
These changes reflect a broader trend within the aviation industry. Airlines operating between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are regularly reviewing flight paths, with some services being rerouted to avoid impacted airspace. Such alternative routings can lead to longer flight durations, higher fuel consumption, and adjustments to connecting itineraries.
Although operations have gradually stabilized across much of the region, airlines are still taking a cautious approach before fully restoring all services. Passengers travelling through major hubs such as Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain are advised to check their airline’s official travel advisory pages frequently for the latest updates on cancellations, schedule changes, rebooking policies, and travel requirements before heading to the airport.
While flight operations have improved compared to the earlier disruption period, airlines continue to closely monitor developments and may introduce further schedule changes if conditions shift. Travelers are encouraged to stay informed through official airline updates and remain flexible with their travel plans.
Passengers are advised to review the latest travel updates before departure.
