An Indian architect based in Abu Dhabi wins Dh25,000 in the Big Ticket weekly e-draw.

His first solo entry resulted in his first-ever Big Ticket win.

Dubai: After years of taking part in Big Ticket draws alongside friends, Abu Dhabi resident Ilanzhsuriyan Vijayakumar decided to purchase a ticket on his own for the first time. That decision proved fortunate, as the 45-year-old Indian architect won Dh25,000 in Big Ticket’s third weekly e-draw for June.

Originally from India, Vijayakumar has been living in Abu Dhabi for the past 15 years. He was introduced to Big Ticket by friends and has been trying his luck for several years since then.

Unlike his previous entries, this time the ticket was entirely his own. He chose the number at random, never expecting it to become his first winning ticket.“I’m very happy. After years of trying my luck, the win came as a rewarding surprise,” said Vijayakumar.

After receiving the call informing him of his prize, he plans to use the Dh25,000 to support his loved ones in India.

“Looking ahead, I intend to use the prize money to support my family back home,” he said.

Despite finally securing his first win, Vijayakumar remains eager to continue participating in future Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draws, saying the raffle offers people a chance to turn their dreams into reality. He advised fellow participants to “stay hopeful and keep trying.”

Vijayakumar is one of four winners from India who each received Dh25,000 in the third weekly e-draw for June.

There is still one weekly e-draw remaining this month, with another four participants set to win Dh25,000 each. The draw will be streamed live on the YouTube channel at 11am, giving hopeful ticket holders one final chance in June to hear the announcement that they have won.
