UAE weather alert: Heavy rain, strong winds, and dust are expected to reduce visibility in Al Ain through Thursday.

Date:

Heavy showers, blowing dust, and reduced visibility are expected, leading to hazardous driving conditions.

The National Centre of Meteorology UAE has issued a weather alert for the Al Ain region, warning of periods of rainfall and strong winds through Thursday, which may lead to reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions.

The NCM said the area is expected to see convective cloud formation accompanied by light to moderate rainfall, with showers becoming heavy at times during the daytime on June 24 and 25.

Forecasters have also warned of active to strong downburst winds associated with thunderclouds, which may raise dust and sand and lead to a sudden drop in visibility.

Authorities have urged residents and motorists to exercise caution, follow safety guidelines, and adhere to speed limits while driving.

They also advised drivers to avoid valleys and low-lying areas that may be affected by water runoff during periods of heavy rainfall.

The warning comes amid unstable weather conditions affecting parts of the UAE, as convective cloud activity develops over eastern and mountainous areas during the summer season.
