UAE weather forecast: Temperatures expected to reach 49°C amid humid, foggy conditions and possible rain this week

Date:

Humidity, fog and possible rainfall are expected in parts of the region.

The UAE is expected to see hot and generally fair weather this week, with temperatures rising to as high as 49°C in inland areas, while humidity, fog and a chance of rainfall are forecast in parts of the country, according to the **National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM said conditions will remain fair across most of the UAE today, with some cloud formation over eastern regions. Humid conditions are expected overnight into Tuesday morning over certain coastal and inland areas, particularly in the west, with a possibility of fog or mist developing.

Temperatures are expected to range from 44°C to 49°C in inland areas, 37°C to 43°C along coastal regions and islands, and 32°C to 38°C in mountainous areas.

Light to moderate winds are forecast, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

From Tuesday to Friday, conditions are expected to be partly cloudy at times, with convective cloud formation over eastern areas in the afternoons that may bring a chance of rainfall. Temperatures are likely to gradually ease from Thursday, especially in western parts of the country, while occasional stronger winds could lift dust and cause rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf at times.

On Friday, weather is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with a possibility of convective cloud development in the afternoon leading to localised showers. Temperatures are forecast to ease further, particularly in western regions, while light to moderate south-easterly to north-westerly winds, occasionally reaching up to 35 km/h, may strengthen intermittently.

Sea conditions are expected to range from slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in the western Arabian Gulf, while remaining slight in the Sea of Oman.
