Dubai: Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden met with Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum in Stockholm during her visit to Sweden, where she led a high-level UAE delegation.

The meeting reviewed the growing bilateral relations between the UAE and Sweden and explored ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise across key and future-focused sectors, in support of shared development goals and efforts to advance sustainable development and prosperity in both countries.

As part of her visit, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum also met senior Swedish officials from the health and social affairs sectors involved in shaping and implementing national policies on healthcare, social welfare, elderly care, and support for people of determination.

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum and the accompanying delegation were briefed on Sweden’s policies and programmes aimed at improving quality of life and strengthening healthcare and social care systems, as well as the coordination mechanisms between institutions and government agencies that enable more efficient service delivery.

The discussions also explored opportunities to exchange expertise in areas of mutual interest and reviewed Sweden’s experience in developing integrated healthcare and social care models. Further talks focused on future priorities such as prevention, community health, and social well-being, along with the role of innovation and proactive policymaking in enhancing health outcomes and overall quality of life.

The meetings were attended by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, and Ghasaq Shaheen, alongside senior Swedish officials.

The visit to Sweden includes a series of meetings with senior officials, policymakers, business leaders, and representatives of leading global companies to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation across key priority development areas.
