The surge in successful ascents has made 2026 one of Everest’s busiest and most remarkable seasons. Alongside the high volume of summit attempts, several climbers also achieved significant milestones, setting both personal and national records on the iconic Himalayan peak.
Officials noted that stable weather conditions allowed climbers to attempt the summit over a longer period, helping reduce congestion near the top—an issue commonly seen on Everest. The season also underscored the mountain’s enduring global appeal to adventurers.
