Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Houston has urged Emirati citizens in the United States to exercise caution following heavy rainfall and flood warnings affecting parts of Texas.

In a statement shared on its official social media channels, the consulate advised UAE nationals to follow safety instructions issued by local authorities and remain vigilant as severe weather conditions persist across the region.

The consulate also encouraged UAE nationals to register with the Twajudi service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate communication and provide support during emergencies.

Emergency contact numbers were also shared for UAE citizens requiring urgent assistance, including 0097180024 and 0097180044444.

The advisory comes as large parts of Texas continue to experience unstable weather conditions driven by intense thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, raising concerns over flash flooding, road closures, and disruptions to travel across several cities.

Weather forecasts in the United States indicate that heavy rain bands are expected to continue moving across eastern and central Texas through the weekend, bringing strong winds, lightning, and the risk of localized flooding in low-lying areas.
