UAE launches pilot programme for digital document attestation.

Date:

Pilot digital attestation service to begin across UAE channels from April 27.

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the launch of a pilot phase for its digital attestation service for electronic documents, effective from April 27.

The move is aimed at advancing proactive and smart digital services that better respond to evolving user needs.

The ministry said the service was introduced in response to customer feedback and allows the attestation of digital documents equipped with modern verification features such as QR codes, reference numbers, and barcodes, improving both reliability and ease of validation.

Under the new system, users can obtain attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as UAE missions in the destination country through integrated digital channels, including the official website and smart application, simplifying what has traditionally been a multi-step process.
