Weather: Light rain, dust, and cooler conditions expected across the UAE through Sunday

Date:

Cloud cover, scattered light rain, and blowing dust to bring cooler weather across the UAE.

The United Arab Emirates is set for a week of partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with chances of light rain, blowing dust, and a gradual drop in temperatures from today through Sunday, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Today, cloud cover is expected to increase, with a possibility of light rainfall over islands and some coastal and eastern areas, particularly later in the day. Temperatures are likely to fall slightly over western coastal regions, while winds will be light to moderate, becoming fresh at times and causing blowing dust.

Conditions will remain unsettled on Thursday, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and continued chances of light rain across the United Arab Emirates.

Winds are expected to strengthen, reaching up to 40 km/h, which may cause blowing dust and sand and reduce horizontal visibility. Seas in the Arabian Gulf are also likely to become moderate to rough at times.

By Friday, conditions across the United Arab Emirates are expected to begin stabilising, although cloud cover may persist in some areas. Winds will ease slightly, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h, while seas remain slight to moderate.

Fair to partly cloudy weather is forecast over the weekend, with lighter winds and generally calmer conditions. However, seas in the Arabian Gulf could turn rough at times on Sunday.

Daytime temperatures in the United Arab Emirates are expected to range between 37°C and 42°C across coastal and inland areas early in the week, before easing slightly as the weekend approaches.
