UAE FM Abdullah bin Zayed conducts phone discussions with foreign counterparts.

Iran’s unprovoked terrorist missile attacks on the UAE and brotherly nations were discussed in talks between UAE FM Abdullah bin Zayed and foreign counterparts.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held phone calls with several foreign ministers to discuss the impact of Iran’s unprovoked missile attacks on the UAE and other countries in the region.

He spoke with the following counterparts:

  • Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan
  • Yvette Cooper, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom
  • José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain
  • Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France
  • Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The discussions focused on the serious implications of these events for regional security and stability, as well as their effects on the global economy and energy security.

Unprovoked, terrorist missile attacks

Sheikh Abdullah and the ministers strongly condemned the unprovoked missile attacks, describing them as terrorist acts that flagrantly violate international law and the United Nations Charter, while directly threatening the security, sovereignty, and stability of the region.

They also affirmed the right of the affected countries to take all necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors, in accordance with international law.

During the calls, Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly nations toward the UAE, assuring that all residents and visitors in the country are safe.

He and the ministers also stressed the importance of enhancing international cooperation and collective efforts to maintain regional security and stability, while supporting the aspirations of the region’s peoples for inclusive development and sustainable economic prosperity.
