UAE reassures residents after responding to Iranian missile and drone threat.

The UAE Ministry of Defence clarified that the sounds reported by residents were from the activation of the country’s air defence systems.

Dubai: The UAE Ministry of Defence has declared the security situation stable and issued an all-clear to residents nationwide following earlier missile and drone threat alerts.

A nationwide mobile notification thanked the public for their cooperation. Authorities, however, urged residents to remain vigilant, exercise caution, and continue following official government channels for updates.

Earlier, at 8:11 am, the UAE Ministry of Interior issued a missile threat alert, advising residents to stay in safe locations while air defence systems intercepted incoming threats.

The ministry stated: “Air defence systems are currently responding to a missile threat. Please remain in a safe location and follow warnings and updates on the official channels.”

The alert came after developments at around 3 am, when UAE air defences responded to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran. The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that the loud sounds heard overnight were caused by air defence systems intercepting missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles as they engaged the threats.

Authorities stated that the situation continues to be closely monitored and reiterated that the public should rely solely on official channels for accurate information.
