Dubai’s Event Security Committee has finalized comprehensive security measures for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, following a coordination meeting chaired by Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs and Chairman of the Events Security Committee.
The meeting brought together police station directors, security officials from shopping centers and tourist spots, and committee members to review readiness measures.
Comprehensive deployment plan
The approved plan covers all Eid-related activities across the emirate, including securing mosques hosting Eid prayers and deploying patrols on major roads, key areas, tourist destinations, shopping centers, and open markets. These steps aim to enhance safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
Implementation of the plan is coordinated with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to ensure seamless movement during the holiday.

Major General Al Mazrouei detailed the scale of the deployment, which includes:
- 677 security patrols
- 37 land rescue patrols
- 29 marine security boats
- 5 marine rescue boats
- 2 helicopters
- 4 operations rooms
- 145 ambulance points
- 48 bicycles
- 208 civil defence vehicles
- 55 marine transport units
- 7 traffic and transport control centres
- 4 rapid response vehicles
- 24 light recovery vehicles
- 106 trains
- 14,000 taxis
- 19,000 limousine vehicles
- 1,300 public buses
Around-the-clock readiness
The Command-and-Control Centre will operate 24/7 to receive emergency calls and ensure rapid response by specialized teams. The public is advised to call 999 for emergencies, 901 for non-emergencies, or use the “Police Eye” service via the Dubai Police smart app.

Dubai Police have urged motorists to adhere to speed limits and avoid reckless driving to prevent accidents during the holiday. Beachgoers were reminded to stay alert and closely supervise children, while jet ski users were advised to maintain a safe distance from family areas.
Drivers of desert bikes and four-wheel-drive vehicles were also cautioned to exercise care and avoid excessive speeds.
