In the early hours of Friday, residents across the UAE attended mosques to perform Eid Al Fitr prayers, celebrating the conclusion of Ramadan and the beginning of festive festivities.

Prayers were held inside mosques. Earlier this week, authorities had confirmed that, for safety reasons, Eid prayers would not be conducted in open or outdoor spaces.

Instead, prayers were conducted exclusively in mosques across the country, in coordination with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah.

In Dubai, Eid prayers began at 6:40 am, with over 900 mosques prepared under the coordination of the Dubai Resilience Centre. The city’s ‘Muezzin Al Freej’ initiative continued, broadcasting Eid Takbeerat across mosques to help worshippers celebrate safely.

Residents across the emirates arrived in large numbers, following guidelines and celebrating Eid with a sense of devotion and community, marking a joyful conclusion to Ramadan.
