Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s State Security Department has announced the dismantling of a terrorist network backed and directed by Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Iran, with all members arrested.

Authorities stated that the group had been operating in the country under a fake commercial front, attempting to penetrate the national economy and advance external agendas that posed a threat to the UAE’s financial stability.

The department said the network operated according to a pre‑planned strategy coordinated with foreign entities linked to Hezbollah and Iran, in clear violation of economic and legal regulations, and was involved in offences related to money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Officials emphasized that any attempt to exploit the national economy or civil institutions for terrorist or conspiratorial purposes will be met with strong and decisive measures.

The State Security Department further stated that any external interference threatening the UAE’s security or stability will not be tolerated, regardless of its source or form.
