UAE Pledges Firm Response to Iranian Attacks, Condemns Acts of Aggression.

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, extended his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the victims of Iran’s unprovoked terrorist attacks on the UAE.

The victims who lost their lives in these attacks include Alaa Nader Awni from the State of Palestine; Murib Zaman Nizar, Muzaffar Ali Ghulam, and Ismail Salim Khan from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; Ahmed Ali from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and Dibas Shrestha from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

He also extended his wishes for a swift and full recovery to all those injured in the attacks.

Sheikh Abdullah also conveyed his condolences to the governments and peoples of the State of Palestine, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal over the victims of these attacks.

2,000+ Missiles and Drones
He emphasized the UAE’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, residents, and visitors.

He condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks, which have continued for 18 consecutive days and involved more than 2,000 ballistic and cruise missiles and drones targeting critical civilian infrastructure, airports, residential areas, and other civilian sites across the UAE.

Violation of Sovereignty
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that this dangerous escalation represents a blatant violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and poses a serious threat to regional and international security and stability.

He added: “The UAE strongly condemns this ongoing escalation targeting civilians and vital facilities across the country. These unprovoked attacks, persisting for more than two weeks, have drawn strong international condemnation, including through United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, co-sponsored by 136 UN Member States.

“The resolution calls on Iran to immediately and unconditionally cease these attacks against the Gulf states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and affirms that Iran is fully responsible for all damages and losses incurred by the affected countries.”

Right of Self-Defence
He stressed that the UAE reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity, and to ensure the safety of its citizens and residents, in line with its inherent right of self-defence under international law.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that the UAE’s relevant authorities are fully prepared to respond to any threats, and that these attacks will not deter the country from safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and stability.

He highlighted that the overall security situation across the UAE remains stable, with readiness levels at their highest, supported by rigorous professional standards and well-defined institutional frameworks, ensuring a strong sense of safety and reassurance for all residents.

He also lauded the support and solidarity expressed by over 130 countries, reflecting the confidence the international community places in the UAE and its longstanding global standing, built through decades of responsible diplomacy, strong international partnerships, and a commitment to regional and global stability.
