UAE companies restore full operations while offering remote work and prioritising employee safety.

Date:

After implementing temporary remote work policies, companies across the UAE are resuming on-site operations while continuing to prioritise employee safety in line with directives issued by authorities.

Several companies in the UAE are resuming full operations while keeping employee safety as their top priority. Many are also allowing staff to work from home where possible amid the ongoing regional tensions.

Dubai-listed ALEC Holdings said it had implemented a temporary work-from-home policy to safeguard its workforce, but has now resumed on-site and in-office operations across its UAE facilities to enable a prompt and safe return to full-scale activity.

“Our priority is, and always will be, the safety and security of our workforce. We are immensely grateful to our clients for their steadfast support during this period. That trust has been built over decades of delivering on our promises, and it is something we value deeply.

“We remain focused on transparency and close collaboration, working hand in hand with our clients and partners to safeguard everyone’s best interests and ensure safety across all our sites and offices,” said Barry Lewis, chief executive of ALEC Holdings.

Anis Sajan, vice-chairman of Danube Group, said that operations are continuing as normal, with teams working from offices and project sites.

“However, we are maintaining flexibility in our approach. Employees can opt for remote work where their roles allow, and managers and team heads are empowered to make decisions for their teams based on operational needs. Our priority is to ensure business continuity while also supporting the well-being and comfort of our workforce,” Sajan added.

“On the ground,” Anis Sajan said, “life has largely returned to normal. Businesses are operating, transportation is running smoothly, and daily activity continues across the country. The government’s swift response, strong defence capabilities, and clear communication have reinforced trust and stability among residents and businesses.

“Dubai has successfully navigated major global challenges in the past—from the global recession to the pandemic and floods—and has emerged stronger each time. This resilience is why residents and businesses continue to feel confident and secure in the UAE,” he added.

“We have closely followed all guidelines issued by UAE authorities, reinforced our internal safety protocols, and maintained clear communication with all teams. The safety and well-being of employees remains a top priority,” Sajan said.

Operations fully functional

Mair Group, a strategic investment company focused on grocery retail and commercial real estate in the UAE, confirmed that its operations are continuing normally despite regional geopolitical developments.

“The group maintains sufficient liquidity and cash flow to support ongoing operations and confirms that access to funding remains available as required,” the company said in a statement.

“Our operations remain fully functional, supported by established governance, risk management, and business continuity frameworks. The safety and well-being of our employees remains our priority, and we extend our sincere appreciation to our frontline teams whose dedication ensures uninterrupted service to the communities we serve. We also acknowledge the continued support and guidance of the UAE leadership in maintaining a stable and resilient operating environment,” the statement added.

United Arab Bank confirmed that its operations continue without any material disruption.

“Customer services are being delivered without interruption across all channels. The bank continues to monitor market developments closely and remains confident in the strength and resilience of the banking sector and the UAE financial system,” it said.

Taaleem Holdings said it is ensuring uninterrupted delivery of education across its portfolio amid current regional developments.

“The group remains fully operational and has transitioned to online learning, with teachers actively engaging with students and parents to maintain a seamless educational experience. It is also fully prepared to welcome students back to on-campus learning as soon as guidance is provided by the relevant regulatory authorities,” the company said.
