The UAE summoned Iran’s ambassador and delivered a formal note of protest condemning Iran’s terrorist attacks.

The attack on UAE soil has been condemned by the Ministry as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty.

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) summoned Reza Ameri, Iran’s Ambassador to the UAE, and delivered a strongly worded note of protest, expressing the UAE’s condemnation in the strongest terms of Iran’s terrorist attacks and assaults.

The Ministry emphasized that targeting UAE territory represents a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a threat to national security, and a clear breach of international conventions, resolutions, and established norms.

During the summoning of the Iranian Ambassador, Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar expressed the UAE’s categorical rejection of any justifications offered by the Iranian government for the hostile escalation, which targeted civilian sites—including residential areas, airports, ports, and service facilities—thereby endangering innocent lives.

He underscored that this serious and irresponsible escalation disregards the UAE’s clear position that its territory will not be used for any military action against Iran. He emphasized that the attacks violate the principles of good neighbourliness and the United Nations Charter, while undermining the path of de-escalation and peaceful solutions that the UAE has consistently pursued with Iran.

Al Marar warned of the serious repercussions these actions could have on bilateral relations, with direct impacts across political, economic, and commercial spheres. He further stressed the UAE’s demand that its sovereignty be respected and that the attacks cease immediately and unconditionally, affirming that the country reserves the right to respond fully in accordance with its legal rights.
