The world’s largest international airline, Emirates, has expanded its reach in Asia by adding 22 new destinations in China through a new interline partnership with Loong Air, based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
The agreement enables Emirates travellers to book multi-airline itineraries under a single fare, with unified baggage policies and consistent pricing throughout the journey. Connections will be available via Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, opening access to cities including Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, and Dazhou across East, Northeast, South, Central, and Southwest China.
These new destinations are now available for booking online ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations, coinciding with the Year of the Horse, which begins on Tuesday, February 17.
Emirates has operated in mainland China since 2004 and currently serves five major cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou—with 49 weekly flights using A380s, A350s, and Boeing 777 aircraft. Alongside Loong Air, Emirates partners with Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines, providing access to over 110 destinations across China through its five gateways.
Looking ahead, Emirates plans to expand its direct network across Asia in 2026, including a new route to Tokyo Narita starting May 1, a daily service
