Salik announces revised toll gate timings and fees for the Ramadan period.

Date:

Drivers will be able to pass through Salik toll gates free of charge during specific hours.

During Ramadan, Salik toll gates in Dubai will adopt a revised variable pricing structure to accommodate fasting schedules and ease traffic flow.

Key changes include:

  • 2am – 7am daily: Free passage, allowing those observing Ramadan to attend sunrise prayers (Fajr) without paying tolls.
  • 7am – 9am weekdays: Toll fee reduced to Dhs4 (down from Dhs6) during the morning rush hour.
  • 9am – 5pm weekdays: Peak hours toll remains Dhs6.
  • 5pm – 2am weekdays: Evening toll lowered to Dhs4, extending the period of lower charges compared to the rest of the year.
  • Sundays: Toll is Dhs4 from 7am to 2am, with free passage between 2am and 7am.

This structure simplifies peak charges into a single eight-hour block during the day, rather than the two four-hour blocks used the rest of the year, and aligns fees with Ramadan routines for Iftar and Suhoor.
