Emirates to End Dubai–Algeria Flights Next Year

The world’s largest international airline, Emirates, has announced plans to cancel its North African route starting next year.

In a statement on social media platform X, the airline said that its final scheduled flight from Algiers is currently set for February 3, 2027.

Emirates clarified that in the meantime, flights between Dubai International Airport and Algiers will continue to operate as usual. Passengers with upcoming travel plans from Dubai to Algeria are advised to proceed as booked.

The update follows Algeria’s announcement that it has begun the process of cancelling the Air Services Agreement with the United Arab Emirates. Once the cancellation is finalized, commercial flight routes between the two countries are expected to be affected.

Emirates Confirms Dubai–Algeria Flights Operating as Scheduled

Emirates currently operates six weekly flights between Dubai International Airport and Algiers, typically using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

On its customer service channel on X, Emirates stated:

“Emirates confirms that flights to and from Algeria are operating as scheduled, and services remain unaffected at this time. Customers with upcoming travel plans should proceed as booked.

“Emirates will fully comply with any instructions or directives issued by government authorities and will provide timely updates to its customers, employees, and partners should circumstances change.

“We can also confirm that currently, our last scheduled flight, EK757, will depart from Algiers on 3 February 2027.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. Customers whose travel plans are impacted from this date are encouraged to consider alternative travel arrangements through their booking agents.”
