New Year holidays list in UAE

Date:

Residents can celebrate the first day of the new year with their loved ones.

The UAE had released a list of official private- and public-sector holidays for 2021 and 2022 recently. And the first official holiday for 2021 will fall on Friday, January 1, so that residents can celebrate the first day of the new year with their loved ones.

With Friday being the official weekend in the country, it wouldn’t really add to the list of days off for most residents. However, it comes as a welcome reprieve for those who don’t get Friday as a weekly day off.

According to the list of holidays, the UAE residents will enjoy between 14 and 15 holidays in 2021, depending on moon sighting.

The first long break will happen in May 2021, on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
