Suresh Raina out from IPL 2020 tournament, will miss entire season due to personal reason.

The Chennai Super Kings player withdraws due to personal reasons.

Former India and Chennai Super Kings’ star cricketer Suresh Raina has pulled out of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons, CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said via a tweet.

The development is as a major set back for CSK as Raina has been a mainstay of their batting line-up. Raina had trained with the franchise in Chennai before departing for the UAE.

Viswanathan said Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season.

The development comes after Raina called time on his international career. He had been far from contention to play for the Indian cricket team. He made his last international appearance in 2018 during India’s tour of England and since then has been out-of-favour of the side.
