Covid-19: 382 new Covid-19 cases, Bahrain report

The Bahrain health ministry has reported 322 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 273 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 126 were among expatriate workers, 192 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related.

Two new deaths were also reported. The death toll rose to 161.

As many as 6,831 Covid-19 tests were carried out on August 8, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 40,549.

There are currently 36 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 89 cases receiving treatment. 2,883 cases are stable out of a total of 2,919 active cases.
