UAE police patrols joined hands to celebrate Hope with Mars mission logo

Date:

Police patrols decked up with the iconic Hope probe logo have hit the streets in Abu Dhabi. A video shared by the police shows the first fleet of field patrols featuring the red logo patrolling the roads in Abu Dhabi.

Featuring an image of the Red Planet with a round border of the UAE flag, the logo says ‘Hope Mars Mission 2020’ in both English and Arabic. It’s supported by a tag line that reads ‘Arabs to Mars’, reflecting the fact that the UAE’s Hope probe is the Arab world’s first inter-planetary mission.

According to the police, the logo on their patrols is a “strong expression of pride and happiness” in the launch. The probe is scheduled to launch in 48 hours from the Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan.

The police expressed pride in “seeing the vision and aspirations of the leadership … become a reality” with the launch.

As reported, UAE leaders, royals, ministries and government departments had earlier changed their social media profile photos to the logo.

After foul weather delayed its launch, the probe is now scheduled to blast off to Mars on July 20 at 1:58am UAE time.
